Hawking bread

Olajumoke Orisaguna became a model after accidentally photobombing a photoshoot while hawking bread on the streets of Lagos. The viral photograph was taken by Nigerian photographer TY Bello during a 2016 session with British rapper Tinie Tempah. Orisaguna, who was passing by carrying bread on her head, unexpectedly walked into the frame, creating an unplanned yet captivating image that caught Bello’s attention.

After noticing Olajumoke’s striking features and natural poise in the accidental photo, TY Bello launched a social media search to identify her. Once found, Bello arranged a professional photoshoot for Olajumoke, leading to her appearance on the cover of This Day Style magazine and subsequently securing modelling contracts with agencies such as Few Models Management and Beth Model Management.

Olajumoke’s remarkable transformation from bread seller to professional model quickly became an inspirational story worldwide, symbolising hope and unexpected opportunity. Following years of modelling and media attention, she later transitioned into radio presenting, making a comeback in 2024 as a host on City FM’s talk show Kilon Shele.
